STAGE 1
Browse our list of available rough diamonds. Each will have -
- A unique reference code
- An image of the rough diamond, also displaying physical measurements
- Specification of carat weight and approximate quality
- An estimation of the potential yield and insurable value of the yielded diamond
- Price

STAGE 2
If you want to purchase a loose rough diamond, proceed to stage 3 now (below).

If you want your selected rough diamond to be set into a mount, then browse our collection of available settings and make your choice. All our settings are available in 18kt white gold, 18kt yellow gold or platinum. All our jewellery settings are handmade in the UK and hallmarked by the UK Assay Office, confirming the precious metal content. There is a price for each metal next to each individual setting style. The pendant prices indicated are also inclusive of an 18" matching chain.

Platinum is the purest of precious metals used in jewellery setting. Its purity provides a stunning metallic finish to the piece as well as providing exceptional durability. Due to these desirable properties, platinum does command a price premium over white and yellow gold.

We ask you to do this as each and every rough diamond is unique. Therefore, we need to ensure that your selected mount will suit your selected rough diamond. Our diamond experts are here to guide you and, in the event that the mount and diamond are not compatible, will work with you to provide suitable alternatives. If you want your rough diamond set into a ring, then please let us know your required finger size - if you need any help with ascertaining the finger size, please call us on + 44 (0) 845 355 1164.

STAGE 4
Sit back and wait for us to contact you to arrange delivery of your selected item.

We will always make personal contact with you prior to dispatching your item to confirm delivery arrangements. Within the UK, your item will be dispatched using Royal Mail Special Delivery which is a fully insured and guaranteed next day delivery service. Delivery is free in mainland UK and for BFPO addresses.

There will be an additional delivery charge for overseas delivery by FedEx.

Delivery Times

Our delivery times depend upon what you have purchased. However, as a guideline -

Loose, rough diamonds from stock - Approx 3-5 working days
Finished rough diamond jewellery - Approx 14-21 working days

For overseas delivery, please allow an additional 7 days to the above.

If, however, you have a specific delivery date requirement, please contact us as we can often tailor production to suit the requirements of individual clients.

Pricing

Because we are UK based, our prices are displayed in GBP and include 15% VAT.

If you are outside the UK but within the EU, please contact us for the corresponding price. We will provide a quote in euros and will include the prevailing taxation rate for your country of residence along with the FedEx shipping charge.

If you are in the USA, please contact us for the corresponding price. We will provide a quote in US$ less 15% VAT but including a 5.5% import duty and the FedEx shipping charge.

Payment

All payments are made over the phone with one of our diamond experts, so please call us on 0845 355 1164 (or + 44 845 355 1164 if you are outside the UK).

We process payments in conjunction with NatWest. Whilst you provide us with details over the phone, these are destroyed once the transaction has been completed.

We accept all major credit and debit cards including VISA, VISA Debit, VISA Electron, MasterCard, American Express and Maestro.

We also accept payment by bank transfer in return for which we can provide you with a 1.5% discount on the total price of your purchase. Please advise our diamond experts that you wish to make payment this way and they will provide you with our bank details accordingly.

We require payment upon order. Once payment has been successfully processed, you will receive an email order confirmation from us.

WHAT ARE THE CREDENTIALS OF ROUGH ROK?
Rough ROK - a division of ROK Diamonds Ltd - is a full member of the British Jewellers' Association. Therefore, we abide by a strict Code of Ethics.

WHAT ARE ROUGH DIAMONDS?
Rough diamonds are diamonds in their pure form - in other words, mined from the ground directly and uncut and unpolished. They often take on the appearance of opaque pebbles.

HOW DO I KNOW WHAT A ROUGH DIAMOND IS WORTH?
The true value of a rough diamond is in its potential yield. From the starting carat weight of the rough diamond, depending upon the shape of the rough diamond, you can normally assume that this will yield a finished and polished diamond of around 30-50% of its starting weight. The remainder will be lost in the cutting process. Cut and polished diamonds are worth signifcantly more than rough diamonds, so the investment opportunity lies in buying a rough diamond with a potential yield for the future. That is in addition to having a piece of jewellery right now which is unique, new and exciting.

WHERE ARE YOUR ROUGH DIAMONDS MINED?
Our diamonds are mined in Sierra Leone, which is now a conflict-free zone. Your diamond will come with a Certificate of Origin to confirm this.

WHAT ARE "CONFLICT" DIAMONDS?
It is a tragic fact that in several parts of the world where diamonds are mined, there exists a trade in illegal diamonds - usually to fund conflicts (a polite word for wars and other outrages which result in human misery). We are vehemently opposed to this trade in every form and we strive to assure that every diamond we sell is conflict-free.

They will confirm availability and will also confirm the compatability of the diamond and the chosen setting. HOW DOES THE GRADINGS OF ROUGH AND POLISHED DIAMONDS DIFFER?
Cut, polished diamonds are graded according to the international diamond grading system, known as the "4Cs" - Cut, Carat, Colour and Clarity - and often come with their own diamond grading certificate. Rough, uncut diamonds do also adhere to these "4Cs" - however, whilst it is possible to provide an exact carat weight of a rough diamond, its quality in terms of colour and clarity can only be estimated. As for its potential yield, this can only be established for sure once the rough diamond is cut into a polished diamond, at which point the carat weight and exactl quality can be determined and graded. Therefore, simply imagine rough diamonds as being one stage back in the supply chain for cut and polished diamonds that are commonplace.

In the event that you wanted to make payment by wire transfer, then we can provide you with a 1.5% discount on our displayed prices, as we would not incur card processing fees as part of the transaction and so simply pass on this saving to you. We like to, yes! Rough diamonds and jewellery is a new concept, and so our diamond experts are on hand any time to assist you with any guidance, advice or information you might require to help in your decision making process.

Returns Policy

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase from Rough ROK, then you are able to return the item within 30 days of taking receipt of it for a refund in full, less postage / shipping costs. You will be responsible for the cost of returning the item to us.

Please follow the steps below to enable us to process your refund efficiently -

1 - Call our customer service team on + 44 (0) 845 355 1164 to inform us of your intention to return.

2 - Complete the returns form provided in the original package.

3 - Place the item back in its presentation case, secure it all and wrap well. All items being returned for refund MUST be returned in their original packaging, unused and unworn.

4 - For your own benefit, we suggest you return the item to us using registered mail. Within the UK, the best way to do this is by Royal Mail Special Delivery. This will enable you to track the safe delivery of the package.

6 - We will notify you by email when we processed your refund. Please note that we can only make a refund back to the original source of the funds, and this refund can take 3-5 working days to each your account.
